Ma aiuta a perfezionare la pratica della etica pura, come Ni aiuta to achieve perfection in the practice of tolerance and patience. Päd , the fourth syllable, helps to achieve perfection of perseverance. Me helps achieve perfection in the practice of concentration, and the sixth and final syllable Hum helps achieve perfection in the practice of wisdom. The recitation of this mantra in fact leads to the perfection of the six practices from generosity to wisdom. The path of these six perfections is the same way by all the Buddhas in the three days.
The six perfections are the tools developed by the Bodhisattva to attain a state of enlightenment. The six perfections, the Buddha says, is the mother and father, are the two legs, and are the protectors.
When the mantra is recited, it helps to open the door of rebirth in the six realms of existence, the pure land of Amitabha Buddha.
Om stops rebirth in the realm of celestial deities, which helps us to deny the pain of rebirth in this miserable realm of existence. But stops rebirth into the world of demigods . Ni stop our rebirth as a human caught in a vicious cycle of actions and disappointments. And this makes us overcome the suffering caused by poverty, pain and all kinds of human misery (birth, death, illness ...). Päd helps to overcome the suffering caused by thirst and hunger. Me helps put an end to the cycle of rebirths in the animal world and to overcome the suffering caused by being unable to express themselves. When reciting Hum , the sixth syllable of the mantra stops rebirth into the kingdom of hell and helps to overcome the suffering caused by the heat and cold.
Thus, stopping the cycle of rebirth within the six realms of earthly existence, allows those who recite the mantra Om Mani Padme Hum reborn in lands and well lit.
The benefits of the recitation of the mantra is explained in the sutra. This was originally developed by Matra "Red Buddha". When for the first time this mantra was recited by the Buddha is said that the earth was shaken six times for wonderment.
It is said that one can never become a Buddha, his enlightenment depends on Manjushri and Avalokiteshvara. This means that without compassion and without wisdom, you can not attain enlightenment. Avalokiteshvara, in fact, is the deity of compassion of all Buddhas. And likewise, without a wise understanding of human nature and reality of existence, you can not attain enlightenment. That's why Avalokiteshvara and Manjushri are divine forms of the way and the proper way to enlightenment.
